I bought a reptile heat pad (I now wish I just bought a brew heat mat) how quickly should your brew warm to ideal temperature? I'm testing on 20L of just water as a trial in chest freezer, I had it plugged in for 2hrs and went from 9.4c to 13c before I unplugged as I thought it was too slow?

You could definitely taste the hops, it was a really nice black IPA and I'd have it again, you've got a good recipe there.
