    The Range Rose

Hi I read your review before buying it, so a big thanks on that front. I also noted your comment about the extra sugar. Now I like my wines quite dry & seeing as the only bag of sugar in the cupboard held only about 300g I decided that this would be sufficient & in my opinion it's spot on , so...

Will be bottling the Rose today. Have tested it & have to say I'm VERY impressed. Happy days :D

    Have I messed up ?

Well having let it ferment out completely this time I again added stabilizer & finnings as per the instructions. No more additional fermentation this time & the batch is clearing nicely.:thumb:

    Have I messed up ?

It is definitely still fermenting. Is there anything I can do to save the batch ?

Newbie with possibly a stupid question

Oh this one is going just fine, bubbling away like billeo. Glad I went for the sturdier FV, I simply wasn't happy with the loose bucket lid idea & no airlock.

Newbie with possibly a stupid question

Now , I know it's been 20 years plus since I attempted anything like this but I have to say the fermentation is going wild (I hope & trust this is a good thing)

Newbie with possibly a stupid question

Decided against the 'flimsy lid ' style bucket but went for the Wilkinson screw top FV with bung hole and airlock. Bought the Range white wine kit as recommended on here. Will start everything tomorrow any tips gratefully received.

Newbie with possibly a stupid question

Would it not be better to bore a hole & add a bung and airlock ? At least that way you know it's working ?

Newbie with possibly a stupid question

I noticed that the 'start up kit' sold at the Range includes a fermentation bucket but no airlock, bung or anyway to put one. Is this right & if so where would all the gas go ? I may be being thick.
