    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

Glad its turned out alright, yes it will carb up during the second fermentation in the bottles/keg, make sure you leave it carbing for a couple of weeks during which time it will clear completely. I always bottle at least one in a PET(plastic) bottle so you can monitor the carbing as it will go...

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

Mine was in the FV for 35 days and I added the hops on day 31. Do not keep checking it, every time you open the FV you are risking infection, leave it for at least two weeks. So Check the SG at the Start and the FG after at least two weeks, but if it is still bubbling after two weeks check it...

    Tube heater

The same thing happened to me last year, I bought a new one which had a sealed plug on it so I had to cut that off to feed the wire through the fridge. I plugged it in and it didn't work so was faulty when I purchased it but like you couldn't do anything about it. The joys of home brewing

    PANIC BREWING!!

Yes but is has to be at least 60% proof, so you need to brew some very strong beer!

    Priming and Carbonation

I always use at least one PET bottle so you can feel the carbonation, if the bottle goes rock hard you are carbonated if not wait until it does!

    Bottle washing

    Never had a problem

    Bottle washing

I don’t use the kegs for second fermentation or conditioning that is all done in the bottle, and cleaning and sterilising the mini kegs is as easy as cleaning bottles

    Bottle washing

I must admit, I bottle everything for the second fermentation and then decant the bottles carefully into 5 ltr mini kegs and then just pressure up to 5psi for serving, the taste difference is amazing, I now have 3 mini kegs so I can have as much variation as I like.

    Corny keg - lost pressure

As I said before check the Lid seal and the posts with the solution you will know for sure then but as Baron says a good hit of pressure normally seals things
  19. parpot

    Corny keg - lost pressure

I would test the seals on the lid and the posts, use a strong washing up liquid solution, if you have a leak you will see bubbles. I always found that if you pump up the Co2 at the start that normally seals the lid correctly but it depends on the condition of your seals/Corny keg

    Corny keg - lost pressure

The colder the better, the beer absorbs the Co2 quicker & better, 1-2c
