MJ Juicy IPA every time for me!

Ive done it twice mine started at 1.060 and both ended at 1.019 so around 5.4% which was fine for me. I added everything and I also think its one of the best winter warmer type beers I have brewed. Good luck.

Started the experiment this morning using just one of the two tins of Wherry added half a jar of H&B LME for good measure and one of the sachets of yeast. The opening gravity reading is 1.074 which looks good but looking back on my records the last HC I did was at 1.062 so perhaps didn't need...

Thanks Terrym, that is worth a try, are the Wherry ingredients basically the same as Headcracker then apart from the hops mentioned? When would you add tea hop tea bag?

Just drinking one of my Wherry Plus as I call it, Kit plus H&B LME what a fantastic brew just over 5% brewed to 23ltr great taste & head retention!

Yes that's it, I put it in at the start along with the two tins of malt I bottle and keg all my beers. Not tried it with other Woodfordes brews!

I think Wherry is a great beer after about a month, but the head retention is even better with one jar of H&B LME, this also adds a bit more strength IMHO

I got mine from eBay 4.5ml per Litre soak for half an hour and rinse very well with clean water, I have never sterilised after that!

I found putting the bottles in the fridge for a day or two and them take out an hour or so before required stops that!

I have recently added a jar 487g of Pure LME (Liquid Malt Extract) from Holland & Barrett it makes it around 5% and really helps with the head retention!

Woodfordes Wherry is my go to session ale around 4.3%

MJ Bourbon Bitter, very dark, nice and strong!
