    Force carbonating corny keg

If its 10mm that will be 3/8" so too thick thus too much flow/foam. If you get a thinner beer line (3/16" or 5mm ish) then it adds more resistance to the flow and you should get a sensible pour

Was that the spec sheet for star san or chem san?

Best Star SAN Alternative including all new Chemsan

That thread appears to reflect what i understood to be true, which is that the star san solution (presumably chemsan acts the same way) needs to have a ph of less than 3 to be effective....thats not the same as needing your water ph to be brought down to 3 before you add the star san / chem san

Best Star SAN Alternative including all new Chemsan

Have i read that right? You're saying that chemsan is only effective if you reduce the water ph to 3 first? I thought you could just add it to normal water?

    100g yeast

Hi, i bought 100g of yeast thinking it would do me over the summer but now im not sure what i can do with it once ive opened the packet. So, assuming i use 10-20g of it in a brew, can i just reseal the pack to save the rest of it or pour it into a sealey bag or would that render it contaminated?

Busy times from home brew shops

Mine too, seems to be a 6 day turnaround from when ordered....which I think is fair enough at the moment, people just need to bear with and be a bit patient

Free stuff (collection only) - North Devon

Hi, I am moving to kegerator set up so have some old but good condition stuff to offload to a good home to make some space in the garage. Otherwise it will more than likely be tipped which would be a shame. It includes: Circa 40 de-labelled brown 500ml bottles 2 crates to contain the above ( 2...

    Grain to glass times

I used to do the 2 + 2 + 2 when bottling but I've just invested in a Corny keg set up. Am I right in thinking that this will enable me to do a 2 + 1? Or do keg users tend to condition a bit longer than 1 week before drinking?

    Expiry of water treatment chemicals

I've recently opened a box that has been sealed in the garage for the last 2-3 yrs that has had all my old brewing stuff in. In there are bottles of CRS/AMS and lactic acid, bags of calcium cholride and gypsum etc. Does anyone know if this stuff would still be fine for use now or is it best to...

Busy times from home brew shops

Am thinking extract brewing might be the way forward here as will hopefully keep longer than crushed grain and the kits all seem to be sold out.
