    Turbo cider priming

I hear ya buddy I've had a few issues with underfizzy cider, and I've come to the conclusion it's from letting it sit in the primary for too long, until it's starting to, or nearly cleared. That's usually because I've been too lazy to bottle it once it's finished fermenting (down to 1.000)...

    Brewnight: Strawberry and Lime TC

Ah it was longer than I thought actually... doesn't time fly ! Bottled on 28th June, then about 7-10 days in the warm, then stashed in the cool under my stairs (once the PET bottles had firmed up and crystal clear Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

On the rocks Raspberry and Lime - 40 pint

I would def try my strawberry and lime TC, made a few of these now and I reckon it's the closest thing to commercial (eg Kopparberg) that I've made so far Recipes are in the brewdays forum, shout if you can't find it and want a copy I gave up on cider kits after my first TC [emoji4] Sent from...

    New to Cider - Racking

Good point, I do get a mm or two sediment when I bottle from primary, which isn't a big deal so long as the bottles are not stored on their side and a little care is taken when pouring. The longer they're left to condition, the more the sediment compacts anyway so I still get a clear pour...

    New to Cider - Racking

The main risk of bottle bombs is bottling before primary fermentation has finished, or by priming with too much sugar. If it's down to an SG of 1.000 it's unlikely to go any lower (none of mine ever have). If you're careful to measure your priming sugar properly when either priming by batch...

    New to Cider - Racking

Why do you need to rack and store for any length of time matey, why not just rack, batch prime and bottle in a oner ? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    yeast type

The stuff I use barely froths up at all too actually, so little that I can only tell It a fermenting by the change in colour and the fizzing sound ! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    New to Cider - Temperature!

Evening lad It sounded like you were wondering if going above 20deg Celsius would be a problem ? Certainly won't be, TC's will crack on up to about 28deg so you'll be fine As the last poster alluded to, you can probably go down to 16deg or so and it'll still work, but take a bit longer Good...

    yeast type

Just to put it out there..... I used to use various cider yeasts and found they came out a shade dry for my taste. About a year or so ago I found a cider yeast with sweetener (E950) built in, suitable for 25L, on eBay and have been using it ever since. So if you're after a medium/dry cider...

    Eureka !

OK, so it's not the breakthrough of the century... but I used to store my TC's on a shelf and try and remember what was where.... not the most scientific method, so quite often I wouldn't know what I was about to drink until I tasted it [emoji23] So I splashed out for a £1.49 packet of...

    Brewnight: Strawberry and Lime TC

Yeh I've not done too much to alter the priming process apart from adding a little more sugar on occasion I'll generally try and prime/bottle before it starts to clear too much now. There has to be truth in the opinion that cloudy = yeasties [emoji3] Bottling my rhubarb and ginger TC tonight...
