    Reluctant Recluse Brewday!

ooooh I hadn't updated this, forgot, had been chatting to the local brew club and didn't put it here. So, I've moved from the fermenter (to free it up) and moved to keg. Got 1 full keg out of the brew, which isn't bad considering the mishaps! finished at 1.009 so slightly under 3% so i'm...

Hudson 1984 Home bar - Bar top Material

interestingly the brother in law does the same, suggested he only pays a fiver a plank! So i'm going to give that a bash, plus it means I can make some shelves to match. so yeah, think i'll go that route. Prepped the old man to join the boards as he's got a thicknesser, whilst I don't want to...

Hudson 1984 Home bar - Bar top Material

Yeah I agree.... I know in my head if I got some worktop I'd regret it down the line. have to speak to some chippys I guess....might not tell the wife...

Hudson 1984 Home bar - Bar top Material

Hi all, so the home bar is coming along. I'm after some suggestions on a Bar top, I've used some old worktop I had and bodged it in. It's not fitted very well - it's secure but not neat - and I need an overhang for the stools but rather than buy another kitchen worktop I was wondering if...

    Keg/fermenter washer recommendation

As per title really. I’m after a keg washer that I can use on the fermentersaurus too. seen the bucket blaster, seen the ss brewtech one but wondered what people’s thoughts were. I just want to be able to clean kegs and fermenter quicker and easier

Brewday Number 1 - 19/12/20 Light Lager Well, Brewday number one is done! alot more work than expected, things too alot longer than I thought they would and I certainly need to organise the brew space more. 12:07, lad is in bed for his nap. Time to get started. I'd prepped everything the...

    Pub Games

Well the new table skittles had its first run tonight. Bloody good fun - we’re crap but it was fun. Need to find a veteran to advise on the setup but was fun I do like the idea of the pinball type one, or shuffleboard, just need to design it in.

    Pub Games

Awesome suggestions. Think I’d need to extend the “pub” to do shuffleboard though.

    Pub Games

So, over the lockdowns, i've been turning the garage into a pub of sorts, and accumulating entertainment out there for when things get back to normal - or if not, at least it makes it a fun room! This means in the Hudson Arms as it's known, we have Cards of course, Dart board and raised oche...

Brewzilla thread to share knowledge, experiences and good practice

happily I found the tube, but not the botton cover - I'm sure it would pop back on.....if I could find it. Sadly I think I must of knocked it off when I unpacked and the box is now at the dump :( AHB do a new button for a fiver but none in stock.. oh well

Brewzilla thread to share knowledge, experiences and good practice

Hi all, annoyingly I've misplaced the silicone tube that comes with the BZ - anyone recommend the correct size for replacement? additionally, the red cap has fallen off the pump button, be keen to replace that too. But see they're out of stock with @AngelHomebrew.

New Brewzilla Owner - I'm lost!

Yeah been watching a few of gashs videos earlier and another with someone using the same kit as me. Certainly seeming a bit clearer - especially as one of the videos the guy was on manual too and that’s what I’m wanting to do. Gash’s videos are the best though, could quote happily spend an...

New Brewzilla Owner - I'm lost!

I've read my book a little further, so have clarified a few things. But it's more aimed at 3V rather than all in one, so i'm just touch confused with process. so, my understanding thus far - hopefully someone can correct/comment: 1) In Digiboil, add total water required. Heat to 77 deg 2)...

New Brewzilla Owner - I'm lost!

ok, so, I think i'm there with having the kit I need however I definitely fall into - all the gear no idea! I've got recipe books, I know what I'd like to brew but I don't have the first idea of how to use the kit. I was a bit surprised that the manual is essentially how to put it together...

Has anyone else just had enough?

I think Lockdown has proved how reclusive i've been for years! I've gone from a young guy with friends and an active social life to a boring sod. I'm married, have a little boy, work from home but I think i'd struggle to name even 1 proper friend. Our social life is spend with family, and...

    Brewers Social Club - Possible?

    Brewers Social Club - Possible?

loads of great responses there, certainly we're on the same page Dave, I think really, I want a social club, but don't have the time to run it and really don't think it would make enough money to support someone else doing it - that being said, the village/town I live in, has no social club, no...

    Brewers Social Club - Possible?

Hi all, bit of a fly-in-the-sky topic as i'm not really looking to do it in earnest but perhaps something could make it happen someday. So, I work from home, largely on my own and largely bored from lack of interaction. I enjoy my job, don't enjoy being at home doing it. Next year, should...
