Nominate your favourite beer here to win the beer world cup!!!

It would have been cool to go through this slowly to allow folks to buy the beers and sample them against each other, but I guess it would take all year to get through the contest! There's plenty of beers in there I haven't tried. Think I'm going to use this as inspiration anyway...

    Braziliain's Brew Days

Brew day went well and I ended up with 13.5L in the Fermenter at 1.070. I topped this up with 5.4L water to get 19L at 1.051, bang on target. Maris Otter, Caragold, Caramalt Columbus, Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic, Zeus, El Dorado in this one. CML US Pale yeast pitched at 18C for 3 days now, then...

    What are you drinking tonight.

My India Helles Lager using the recipe for Camden Town IHL from the Euan Ferguson Craft Brew book. To say I'm pleased with this one is an understatement. Tropical fruit aroma and flavour is off the scale. Still very young and a little hazy.

    Braziliain's Brew Days

Brew day is go. An American Pale Ale for the Christmas party. First time dabbling with water chemistry. Tested the alkalinity, dosed with Phosphoric acid to reduce it and added a smidge of calcium chloride and magnesium sulphate to give me a 3:1 sulphate to chloride ratio. First time brewing...

Fermenting 9 litres in a FV designed for 20L Litres

Brülosophy did an experiment on this and determined that there was a perceivable difference in the beer. That said, Marshall couldn't tell them apart and it it didn't make bad beer, just different beer...

Brewdog Craft Beer for the People

Just noticed this was reduced from £20 to £7 on Amazon and bagged a copy. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1784722952/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Had a look in Waterstones and seems a real nice book. Has a few recipes in including Beavertown Gammaray. Thought others might fancy a copy at that...

Does everyone always follow a specific recipe or.....

Usually a recipe as a base. That said I brewed a pale ale for the corny using left overs a couple of months back, no recipe and it was one of my favourite beers to date!

    More Advanced Water Treatment

@strange-steve I just wanted to echo everyone else here in adding my thanks for your effort in putting these guides together. Your two water threads along with the Salifert threads are no nonsense, straight to the point and easy to follow. I've been putting off water treatment for ages and...
