    Brewzilla 3.1.1

Just realised if i drop the whirlpool arm then it comes in on my budget still. Haven't seen many videos of people using the whirlpool arm so I actually had no idea if I should get one, jut seemed sensible to get the kit at the time, happy days.

    Brewzilla 3.1.1

They're better if you need a paddle, which I do to be fair. I reckon I'm going to hold the pennies now and stick to extract. Maybe save up for a brew monk or something.

    Brewzilla 3.1.1

Just went to order this on Brewkegtap but their price has crept up as the early bird offer expired. Sadly I'd just managed to save up and have missed my budget point. Snooze you lose.

    Brew Uk

The poor guys are probably flat out and I am not needing the kit in a hurry so I wouldn't want to bother them with a call. Much better to bother you lot here.

    Brew Uk

Hi, Has anyone had an order from Brew UK recently? Placed order on 6th, still shows processing. Happy to wait as I've stuff on the go but thought there may have been some progress. Have emailed them days ago too as I wanted to add to order and that hasn't been replied to. Not moaning or in a...

    Yeast suggestion - Nelson's Revenge

Turns out the reading was fine, it was me that was reading the hydrometer wrong. Supplementary question, what are the dangers to the brew now I've added heat to it for around 24 hours?

    Yeast suggestion - Nelson's Revenge

Would that be the English Ale one? Seems a sensible suggestion. Thank you

    Yeast suggestion - Nelson's Revenge

Forgot to get OG, rusty habits I'm afraid. Research seems to be that would have started around 1.050. Target is 1.014. Current OG, 1.030 Temp roughly 18deg C. 2 weeks ferment so far. Not sure what the yeast type with the kit was. The packaging I kept doesn't give anything away.

    Yeast suggestion - Nelson's Revenge

Hi, First post in a while as like many others at this point I am brewing for the first time in ages. I have a suspected stuck ferment on an extract kit, Nelson's Revenge from Woodfordes. I have an old heat belt that I will leave over night and give a wee agitation in the morning. I am...

    Can I release keg pressure.

Tap and cap are holding well. It was just the blast of spray and wasted beer that concerned me along with the fact I may not be able to drink it if I can't pour it.

    Can I release keg pressure.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002R6DIIQ/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Is the keg but I use the large Hamilton bard canister so it has the wider valve on the top. I primed it as per woodfords instructions but I imagine the cold temps here meant I should have reduced. Bit unsure on what to do now.

    Can I release keg pressure.

Hi all, just went to have a taste test of the Christmas brew in my youngs 5gl pressure barrel. Whoosh, beer all over the place as a foamy mess erupted from the tap. Can I release some pressure to calm down the pour, it's totally unmanageable at the moment. Would you loosen the top or...

    Tumble dryer woes

High guys, I know a wee bit of electrics and electronics but hoping someone with more knowledge of these or white goods could help. My tumble dryer works but won't heat (If that makes sense). I removed the element and the Toc. (There looks like a rusty explosion on the plate but no signs of...

    fermentation slowed down too soon?

I'm not very experienced so others may have better advice but my beer brews never ferment very excitedly (being cooler in Scotland has something to do with it I suspect). I reckon it's just settling down and would suggest leaving it for a week and then use a hydrometer to check the SG. If SG...

Using two kits in one go

Just as well I posted here before getting stuck in with my misplaced bravado. Had a read of the instructions and now I realise they don't suggest adding sugar and its a 7 litre kit as opposed to the 23L I'm used too. Just going to follow the instructions on this one. If I use the...

Using two kits in one go

They're called Farm and Household and based in Inverness. They aren't a dedicated homebrew store, more like all the wee bits and pieces that you can't find anywhere else type of store. Usually very expensive but still cheaper than Highland postage rates. Got the two cans for under £15 so to...

Using two kits in one go

Hi guys. My local HB supplies shop had brewferms Christmas beer at 50% off today, so I bought two. I'm thinking of using both cans in one brew and not not adding any sugar. Any thoughts?

    youngs preesure keg woes
