What have you been smoking on bbq?

Today's cook on the Aldi Kamado, a 12.5lb rib of beef. 3 hour cook over Big K charcoal with a piece of cherry oak, cooked to medium rare. Salt brine for 24 hours then rubbed with unsalted butter mixed with "Rusty Bbq Company Cattle Dust" Absolutely beautiful.

    ANTHONY JOSHUA

He certainly doesn't need the money neither of them do. But it's a different world than we live in, enough money is never enough, the Usyk fight for Fury would be peanuts compared to this, it will be the biggest British fight ever and both men will know how much money they will walk away with...

    ANTHONY JOSHUA

Joshua must be after one more pay day, even a 60/40 split as reported would net him tens of millions. Fury will make light work of AJ of that there is no doubt.

    AJ

He never deserved a rematch, Usyk is levels above him. He was comprehensively beaten last night, the score cards were a joke, how anyone could think he won that fight is beyond me. His entire career has been carefully managed so he never had to fight anyone decent. He and his team looked past...

    Air friers and the like

We have a Ninja 9 in 1 which is an air fryer amongst other things. They are wonderful bits of kit and we've recommended them to lots of friends and family. They can be more expensive than other brands but I think they are the best products on the market. We have their pans too which are...

    Don't Pay UK

https://dontpay.uk/ Just seen this via Martin Lewis this morning. A group trying to get a million people to cancel their direct debit for electricity and gas on 1st October if the government and energy companies don't act on the crazy prices. They say if a million people did this the companies...

    Mangrove Jacks Citra IPA review

Just had my 1st bottle of this over the weekend and it's a real winner. Great colour, carbonation and mouth feel. I think the hops are perfectly balanced in it, mine ended up at 5.6% and could he happily drunk all night though I think I would be very merry after a few of these. 🍺🍺

Mangrove Jacks Mango Pale Ale review

It's a top notch kit. I've done it 3 times now, it's a lovely beer and perfect for the summer 🍺

Do you leave Lager Kits to clear?

I've never done that on any lager kits, I bottle it when it's achieved the required FG and then leave them for a few weeks and I've always had perfectly clear lager.

    Razorback IPA

It's a great beer and yes the Spieglau glass is very fragile, I hand wash it only and only use it when the kids are in bed. I've had there tasting set of glasses for 2 years now, all 4 are still with me.

    Razorback IPA

Just cracked open the first bottle of this and I have to say it's excellent, full of pine and citrus flavour, lovely deep colour and a fantastic mouth feel to it. It was in the bucket for just over 2 weeks and upon taking the FG it had achieved the 5.7% advertised. I've purposely left it since I...

    Brew2Bottle Customer Service

Got a marketing email off them yesterday, had a look around the site, had both the beer kits I wanted at a good price and a few other bits I was short off. Spent the required £65 for free delivery, had my email to say my delivery is on the way. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

    Honest Brew

Beer 52 have taken over whatever the saving scheme with them was and have converted them into their own scheme. So not a total loss for people.

Stella unfiltered - just marketing ....?

I too got it from our villages co-op on the beer and burgers offer. It was OK on a sunny day but nothing I'd go out of my way for again. More marketing than anything else by jumping on the unfiltered bandwagon.

What have you been smoking on bbq?

Today's cook I made use of my new 70cm skewers, chicken kebab and chicken shawarma with homemade naans. All washed down with a few Mangrove Jack Helles. Lovely stuff. 🍺

Diesel prices reach record of over £1.80 a litre

Same as @Brew_DD2 I have an EV tariff which gives me a favourable rate of 8.5 pence per KWh. My new car has a charging timer which means I can set it to charge at the cheaper rate. I also use timers on all my appliances like the tumble dryer, dishwasher etc and these run overnight too. We try to...
