Hi, I'm new here and would like to introduce my beer pouring channel

I've an idea; bear with me here. What do we all love? Beer. Okay, you have that. What else? As is evident from this thread, ****ography. You don't have that currently. What else is a very popular growing internet phenomenon? Gambling. You don't have that either. So... The video shows a pair of...

    You need a bigger glass.

    Equipment help

I have the SS kettle (the 15 gallon one) and a Buffalo 3kw induction hob; works a treat, plus you have an induction hob when you're not brewing, which really speeds up some cooking tasks.

    Corny kegs.....if I buy?

Go for John Guest fittings; barbs are a pain and prone to weeping. Okay, I found my old shopping list from when I first started. You'll need the following. Kegs: As many as you can afford (and that won't be enough, trust me). CO2 Bottle: You need one. I have three; one is in use, one spare and...

Corny Keg Shopping List - What to Buy When First Starting Out With CK's

Whats your biggest gripe when bottling?

Mostly keg. However, before moving to kegs I did some research. I learned two things. One is don't fill kegs with cold pish. The other is that it isn't mandatory to chill them to 3 degrees. Anyways, before I went down the corny keg route I bottled because I had too many leaks with...

The *****'s Post Chaos era brew days

One of the problems I've found is that if you turn your back, the worse will happen, so it kind of kills off multi-tasking. A lot of the time is just waiting around watching that the worse does not happen. My thinking is that if you remove the points of failure, you're free! One day...

The *****'s Post Chaos era brew days

I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to perfect a brew day process that makes life simpler and more enjoyable. For the past year, despite having a converted stable serving as a dedicated brewery, brew days have not been the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Far from it...

The latest shiny investment for the brewery

I got mine for £350 including VAT and delivery. Currently the same outlet wants over £700 for it. It's a Vogue CF406, and so you need to trawl th catering wholesalers for a deal. Because they all have the same customer base someone always has a deal, so it's a case of putting in he leg...

The latest shiny investment for the brewery

We're all capable of an impulse purchase when it comes to brewing. Often, we'll also come up with some fantastical trail of logic that justifies the purchase, albeit somewhat tenuously. For example, I knew I could make good beer with my 28 litre plastic boiler. I did make good beer with it. It...

What's the worse that can happen? Gallons of beer!

    nelson smash

I remember reading something from the guy who used to be a brewer at Thornbridge and who developed Kipling. When he was discussing the recipe he said it was all NS hops. I've tried a few clones but never got the hop intensity they achieve; I just don't think home brewers can buy NS fresh enough...

    Shipyard Rye Pale Ale

I was surprised it has chocolate malt in there; not sure about that! Also, does he mean rye crystal malt or rye and crystal malts? I don't taste rye crystal in it and that plus chocolate malt would be an odd choice given the hops.

Personally I'd push the Citra addition to 10 minutes instead of 20 to let it really shine!

    Sediment in beer

I've done beers with only a primary and had very little sediment. It sounds like you might be bottling too early. How long do you leave it in the primary before bottling?
