As a related issue, I'm trying to work out the correct & sized line\hose to go from the co2 regulator to the corny Keg and the clips required to secure the line\hose both regulator & corny Keg end (disconnect).
As I understand both the regulator and disconnect should be 3/8 size so assumingly...
Cheers mate, had a look and they seem to be the closest to me. Though do you get the 60\40 mix as there website mentions about the pure co2 being for industrial use than food grade?
Well I've just bought the family a nice new big fridge freezer, for which as far as the missus is concerned I never had an ulterior motive in doing so, honest, even though I already knew I was moving to corny kegs, honestly no ulterior motive for this act of generosity in the slightest!.
Now...
What's refreshing here over the same responses you'd certainly get on other boards (still might get someone posting this though) from dedicated royalists is "bla bla bla for every £1 they cost the state they generate 4 times that in income from tourism etc bla bla bla".
Well bull!, weather they...
Didn't the royals hand over the entire royal estate (barring a handful of private retreats) and key properties decades ago in return for the civil list (aka a blank unlimited check for any and every member of the royal family)?. If so I think things should be reversed, the state hand all the...
Might be interested, but is it a Co2\Nitrogen mix or Nitrogen\co2 mix as Horners feels?.
As if the bigger\ first number in the mix is the Co2, would be better I'm guessing as I'm definitely looking at more pale ales ipa\apa ales & lagers so a heavy co2 content would be preferable. Though if I...
Thanks for the replies guys. Of cause I don't mind the deposit, as long as it's returnable in full as then to see 6.5kg of co2 for £35 makes far more sense than what, 450g of co2 in a soda stream bottle for £13!.
But still hoping to find local as I'm a non driver & do have a couple of leads to...
Right, just done this kit in the last half hour. As per instructions as usual except again, a very slight underfill, 22.5 litres instead of 23 litres. I know it's an irrelevant under fill on paper, but just my way and allows that very small edge of reaching the target 5.0% abv stated on the...
I think my limit would also be about £25 all in. Anything more is likely more down to much increased abv percentage than anything exceptionally special ingredient wise. And I'm feeling that with the likes of "double ipa" kits that the same result would likely be gained with a standard 40 pint...
Ok, trying to source a co2 supplier before going down the small soda stream gas bottle route I did some searching and can see these threads come up all the time etc. But the only such thread for my area (Liverpool) is several years old and or the companies mentioned no longer appear to deal in...
Funny enough, the Beerworks Presidents Sierra American Pale Ale is the kit I got for Xmas and 1 of the 2 kits (yes 2 kits in a single brew day) I'm doing tomorrow along with a BOY pale ale. The Beerworks kit will be going into the second corny keg once fermented and I can't wait to try that one...
I kind of get that with regards to using co2 over using priming sugar & then co2 for more serving pressure etc. And where the costs worth it I'd 100% go down that route. But the initial costings in having a look last night trying to source bigger co2 has cylinders simply don't add up. I can...
Well I'm asking this out of curiosity and necessity as much as anything after having to keg a brew (a later brew) yesterday that looked like it had an infection. Only I've yet to source any co2 so simply keged the bulk and primed with most the priming sugar.
Now here is the question, whilst...
For me these only seem to brew up to 4% abv (from the ones I noticed xmas) and that's a little short for my liking unless on offer. I thought they are more "artisan" in name than nature and look like they could be as much a rebrand or tweak of their existing range than anything really new...
So, the bulk is now in the corny Keg drawn from the bottom and priming sugar added to generate co2 to try & keep it good and prevent infection\further infection. But I still think it was an infection as a dry chalky like film forming as much as any oil residue. So fingers crossed I've saved...
For me, anything that requires NO additional ingredients or is already a 3kg kit could be classed as "premium" . But never had a bad beerworks kit & done a few over the last 18 months.
It would be nice to think it's not an infection and is just the hop oils floating, but none of that was present before moving the fv to the cool room to settle at 12° 2 weeks ago which is why I feel it could be.
