    Fermzilla fermenters

Sounds like we're very similar... I have been brewing in the bucket and bottling for about 3 years. My kit beers are OK, but definitely room to improve. I'm a big fan of hazy IPAs - Hazy Jane being the current fav. I've gone for an All Rounder, and have a corny on the way. Muntons Hazy kit...

    Pressure fermenting guides?

Hi all I have an all rounder on the way, and researching fermenting under pressure. Are there any good online guides for what, when and how much with respect to pressure itself, temperature and beer types? I'm also 90% into a fridge build and now have colling and heating control sorted - so will...

My 'new' fridge - huge temp variation!

I thought that might be the case. The thermal mass of the brew will be pretty big and take a while to shift. When fermenting I'll have the ispindel in the wort - so will have an accurate temp from that. I'll be interesting to see how tightly I can control it all.

My 'new' fridge - huge temp variation!

I picked up a free undercounter fridge last night - my first for use with brewing. It’s a Bosch, and in very good condition. I plan to buy a Fermzilla all rounder, have the pressure kit on the way and will likely get a corny or two. I’ll house the FV in the fridge, close transfer to the corny...

    Temperature control

It outputs temperature. You can get ubidots and other tools to use that to in turn trigger threshold alarms that turn on/off a smart plug. I wrote this a while ago... But now use Home Assistant myself as I've got it controlling my lights etc...

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

Anyone recommend the best place to buy an all rounder, including pressure kit ?

    Temperature control

I use a heat pad, cheap smart plug and an iSpindel - works perfectly and allows me to control temp within a degree. Gives a similar result to an inkbird, but you can also monitor fermentation progress using the ispindel.

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

Great list, thanks I'm very close to going for an all rounder... Just reading up on pressure fermentation and looking for a local co2 supplier. I'll likely order a load of bits off Ali, and then the all rounder once they land in the UK from China.

    iSpindels

Afternoon all. Hope this is ok admins - just a little bump if anyone is interested... still building, more or less to order, for those who are keen. I tend to get them out pretty much same day. A couple of small changes - I use USB C now as the charging boards are MUCH better; and I'm only using...

Just have a google for 18650 fakes... I would use LG, Samsung, Molicel. However, the source you buy them from is probably more important as you're more likely to get a genuine battery. https://www.fogstar.co.uk/blogs/fogstar-blog/how-to-identify-a-fake-battery

You have to be REALLHY careful with these batteries - so many dodgy fakes about. I get mine from Fogstar or 18650.uk

What battery are you using, and what PCB design? The Cherry Philips that I use need a battery as closed to 44g as possible.

I might have to start looking at v7.x - I've been sticking with 6.5.1 after reading a few issues with the new releases. Good to hear it working for you tho! I'll have to read through the change log to see what's been updated.
