What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Neither have I. Got talking with a mate though the week when I ordered a McEwan's 80, he said he "survived" on the export during a recent trip near Inverness. McEwans Export always reminds me of my youth. It was a rare weekend without a few of those. athumb.. Have you ever had it on hand pull?

    Taste my beer?

Free beer? I'll gladly help you out if you don't mind waiting until August, I'm away for a couple of weeks. To be honest there are peeps on this forum who I suspect have much more sensitive tastebuds and may be more helpful. Have you checked out the judges for forum comps? They would be ideal...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Two at a time. My Saison alongside @Benfleet Brewery Saison. I've been waiting to do this for a while. Here's a sneak preview... Mine's the highly carbed one!

    Saison recipe

If read the CB&B article recently, it sounds like a good enough formula for a Saison - keep it simple. However I just read the Roel Mulder article (thanks for the link). It is absolutely scathing of de Baets lack of historical accuracy! So if this is true, and we only have one man's word...

    Awful American units!

What about global positioning and navigation?! Degrees longitude and latitude pretty much makes sense, but then some subdivisions of that are metricised i.e. 53.012345 degrees, whereas others use degrees minutes and seconds e.g. 53° 03' 22"

    Awful American units!

In late '80s I joined an engineering company as an apprentice. We made trial pieces in metric and imperial because the business was equally split creating new components and supporting historical customers (largely throughout the old British empire). I found it equally easy to work both...

    Clyne's (BrewBru's!) brewday

Your elderflower ale should taste great with Galaxy, however, I'm not sure about the future fortunes of your "Northern Brewer Delight"! Sounds like an odd pairing.

    Euro 2020, who's watching?

Agree with you there, saka and sterling injected pace in the Denmark game and pressed hard, stretching the Danes defence. Keep applying pressure and something will crack. I hope Gareth gets them to keep the tempo up in the first half.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Starting as per the Denmark match with a hazy amber APA, this time it's the Wild Woods. It worked last time... I'm drooling over that lot. Nothing Italian on offer? What a shame 🤣

    Euro 2020, who's watching?

Stay strong brother 💪, stiff upper lip and all that, even if England are 4 goals down. (Said from a Geordie to a Mackem) :hat:

I wonder how many Peroni and Moretti we'll see in the thread tonight from the non-english contingent?

    Lalbrew London..again

Hey @Clint for reference I just kegged a 5 points clone this week. OG 1.043 FG 1.011. That used WY 1318 London Ale III The attenuation is about as expected but it's going to take a while to clear, it's one soupy brew.

    Crystal Dark = Special B

10% of the grain bill for dark crystal? That seems high. It depends what the recipe designer calls "dark". 90L I would certainly call dark, though it's not as dark as 120L. I really dislike light/medium/dark they're too subjective. What Baird's call crystal is approx 80L, but for similar colour...
