    I tend to go all natural and add a tablespoon of dried fruit per gallon. My mead always ferments out to completely dry that way and doesn't alter the flavour profile of the honey in any perceptible way (which I often found chemical nutrients could do).

    Never a truer word spoken. I don't use any social media, seems like saying you don't breathe oxygen to most folks, it's probably the biggest cause of human misery since the plague.

    Wasn't there a lot of noise about a plastic eating enzyme that had been developed a while ago? Seems like that would be worth chucking into landfills and whatnot rather than hobbling numerous small businesses with such a heavy handed ban.

    I think the base of my main pot is about 24cm but there seems to be a fair bit of room around it, I can't see a 28cm pot having any issues on there.

    smart meters

    Smart meters can be problematic at times, my (smart) gas meter randomly stopped charging me last year in November. I basically had infinite free gas until a couple of weeks ago when it was 'remotely fixed'. It was nice while it lasted.

    That's what I thought, the DIY video seems a bit much for my purposes as I only brew a gallon at a time in a very basic 10 litre stockpot. Even if it does somehow go south, it's only five quid down the drain, and I can go back to the old reliable bag. Cheers for the info guys.
