    Co2 transfer loop

A normal homebrew gas manifold has a valve on each output so that would work with secondary regulators or inline pressure gauges.

Pitching dried yeast into cold wort

Depending on your setup can’t you just put it in the brew fridge overnight set to 20 but with the fridge unplugged? Then it won’t drop lower.

    Improving Keg Carbonation

Brewfather gives me 17psi for those numbers. You can’t read enough accuracy from a regulator gauge to be sure how it is really set. Turn up a little and wait a few days as a suggestion.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Big trembling madness delivery today now it is very difficult to decide which to drink. Hoppy first I guess:

I will have a couple - have you moved in the past year?

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Turned out to be a lot left over for next month. I suffered a lot from aroma carry over between beers. Unexpected standout for me was the pint I bought on arrival- Dark revolution only keep 1 beer on cask but it was a superb pale ale.

Monthly bottle share - maybe too many for 6 drinkers?

Raided the Waitrose offer selection last night. Best 3 beer Fullers choice? I always feel like I should give Pride a chance but it might not happen until they are out of stock of something else.

    Beer line cleaning

This is me basically, 3 lines of about a metre each. If I had to replace them annually then it really wouldn’t be an issue. I feel like I should line clean but it’s one of those jobs that I have no one to show me, I have never worked in drink retail, so i don’t understand well.

    Butcombe clone reciope in Brewfather

Is quite a long way…mind you I just saw how many beers are on the list for maltingsfest: https://www.maltingsfest.co.uk/menu#Breakfast

Not a generic product though is it? It has its own more traditional process and for me it is local ie could be barley from fields I ride through, that has value.

    British Hops

I used Godiva for my Helles - worked great but was never intended to be hoppy.

When I asked last year Warminster were asking for £42/sack collected for pale ale. I expect MO may be more so the MM price doesn’t look so bad. I could do with testing their MO and Utipian pils malt before getting sackfuls though.

    Pseudo lager yeast

The way I read the OP - 40c is the storage temperature of the yeast and temperature control is available for the brew. Could use M54 or even US05. The bock will likely need more than 1 packet check a pitch rate calculator.

    SIBA homebrewer membership

Just bumping this as I’m thinking about joining and entering the competition. Very unlikely I’d make it to BeerX is anyone still a member and can comment on the longer term experience?

    Tube heater

Have you checked to see if the heater has a built in thermostat? It may be set low and limiting the heating. I have one but it’s not seen much duty.

    Olde time porter

Amber is light and malty. Brown can be very different in colour between different maltings there isn’t a standard for it. Edit: just to add there are lots of 19th century porter recipes available eg from Fullers.

    What did you brew today?

A use-up type thing that’s a mix of Greg Hughes harvest pale and Pirate pale. I have the Biab bag inside the malt pipe as I noticed that there was a lot of flour after crushing, mill gap is normal the end of this bag just seems overly dry.

    More from Lidl.

    Crossmyloof

That’s handy then as I think I’ve stocked up on the wrong things - I could fairly easily use other ale yeast at £3/packet but no lager yeasts are that cheap and I would need 2 per brew.
