    Keg early to carbonate

I went on a recent Brewery tour and was surprised to hear that they rack from the fermenter into barrels after about 72 hours. They then (if I remember correctly) cool condition for a couple of weeks. This got me thinking that I could do the same with a corny keg and let it finish fermentation...

    What did you brew today?

I've been enjoying the odd pint of Ringwood Old Thumper at the local 'plastic pub' over the road, so I thought I'd give it a go. So here is the brewday post for my - Old Thumper Clone

    Cleaning fermenter after infection

I had and infection at the end of last year. Standard plastic FV bucket and I managed to clean it sufficiently and have brewed using it since. I definitely used Oxy / sodium perc type cleaner. I also definitely soaked for min. 20 mins in a Milton / thin bleach solution. Rinse well and then I...

    UKSkydiver's Brewdays

AG#27 Fuggy Helles - Update I have not tried this. It is lagering at just above 1c and has been for the last four weeks. I am a good boy (but it is killing me). I need the ferm fridge back for the Old thumper, so this will go in the serving fridge at about 7c. I may try it out next week.

    Leffe Radieuse Clone

Thanks for your thoughts - noted on the longer boil I don't have - and I wont be able to obtain - the extra yeast for this weekend, so I'm going to park this for now and brew later. So instead I will do an Old Thumper clone, which I think I have all the bits for. Cheers

    Leffe Radieuse Clone

I very much appreciate your time and sharing your thoughts. I have read your comments on 'aging' it a bit, so that is my plan also. I would be more than happy to share a bottle with you in the fullness of time. Cheers

    Leffe Radieuse Clone

I was going to do a Leffe Brun . . . . however, I've done one of those and @Agentgonzo keeps banging on about this Radieuse thing ;) (which does sound everso lovely) so I thought I'd see what I had in stock, and bless my soul, I think I have just about what I need with some artistic...

    Stout with Kveik Yeast

I did a stout before Xmas and made a starter from some previously top cropped Lallemand Voss and half a packet of MJ Boho Lager yeast, because why not, it's my beer. Started it off a 25c ish and let it drop to about 21, and it was mostly done in about 4 days. EDIT: I should add that it was one...

    Nukatap dripping/leaking

My red ones are split too. They're very brittle. Pretty sure the black rubber seal goes on top from what I can tell from the cross section diagram.

I am pretty thorough with that stuff, but I will climb up and take apart the enclosure to check. Thanks for your thoughts.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

I think it's just a badly formed bit of code. If you look at the source code you can see it mixed in there somewhere: But ultimately - it points to https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPW0g7C

Brewer's Invert Sugar - the painless way!

That's what I thought I read somewhere, but it got lost in all the other bobbins. Thank you
