    Tonic Water

I thought I would treat the Mrs and we talked about it and she prefers the cheaper brands so its pointless really, shame as I like MM and was going to go for this.

    Welding Courses

A course like that will give you a good baseline on the subject, it's far too short to go into much depth, but you will have a clue what your doing. I did a 6 week course on gas welding as part of my 4 year apprenticeship in the good old days, I was very lucky as if you can gas weld you can...

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

I have been away for a week and the stout that's not a stout has conditioned superbly, I need to look at the recipe that @Alistair sent me as this feels like a red ale or maybe I have had one too many Lol

What's the crappiest place in the UK?

Interesting point as some of the roughest and poorest places I have been I have received the best welcomes and had the most fun.

What's the crappiest place in the UK?

Not one town in Wales on there, which makes me wonder a couple of things, how genuine is it and whether the ***** in the worst towns in Wales can afford or are even able to read ***** like the sun!

Will banana aroma affect adjacent FV?

It shouldn't do as soon as it starts fermenting it will be pushing co2 out of the vessel, different if you were cold crashing.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

What's better than being lucky enough to sit in the sun at the back of my unit, listening to the stream trickling by a d the birds in the trees, sipping the slightly tart citrussy notes of my Pilzner. Feeling very grateful 🙏

    MJ Single Hop Citra IPA

If you can give it plenty of time to mature, I did an Imperial Stout and the difference a year later was unreal.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

The stout that's not a stout is coming good, with some time in the keg, had a few with a mate the other night and it's got a good malty hit to it and the hops are there but not in your face, so all things considered I'm happy, not that I wouldn't have drunk the whole keg anyway 😂

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Well my Citra Pilzner has come out brilliantly refreshing and really drinkable, well chuffed, considering the overtemp on the yeast after the sensor slipped off I was expecting off tastes, but it's fine and still young yet, by the time it runs out it will be superb 😂

90 minute boils v shorter boils

I'm guessing if commercial brewers boil for 80 mins with the time and energy savings if they didn't there must be good reasons for it. I have always followed recipes exactly, only more recently doing my own Smash recipes, grateful for all the advice though, as you say with most things home...

90 minute boils v shorter boils

Could you expand on that maybe?

90 minute boils v shorter boils

Funnily enough that was what I did yesterday, I was brewing enough for a keg, rather than as much as I could fit in the FV and it allowed me to oversparge and have a more vigarous boil, its the first time I have overshot on efficiency ever. The first two beers I did were both stouts with 90...
