I have both an inkbird (situated on the outside of the FV under kitchen paper) and an ispindle in the FV. Temp always goes up about 1oC during the first few days. The inkbird is set at 19 and temp is usually 0.5oC lower on the ispindle at the start. I'm sure the temp would go higher but I guess...

I'm happy with a bitter. Just started to make a user-upper today and realised I hadn't made a bitter for a while. Imp stout should be a nice challenge for the one after👍

I purchased a sack from them last month - excellent company. They did note that prices would increase after Feb....haven't checked as yet. 👍

My recently brewed 1/2 milk stout (as I only had 1/2 the lactose volume on hand when brewing!!). Only 1 week in the bottle but tasting nice....a very easy drink to sup. This should be lovely in a few more weeks 🥳🥳

For my buckets I empty some boiling water into them, give a careful swill around then empty via the tap. Seems to do the job well. Tubes are def ones for VWP. Any sign of discolour/bits in them they get chucked! Good luck 👍

Def +1 for rinsing out used bottles. I use the old cap to keep things out until next use. Quick blast with no rinse and they are ready to be filled again. 👍

Up until about a year ago I used to make a VWP solution in my FV and put all items in there to soak for 20 mins, then rinse 3 times in water. I'm becoming either lazy or less paranoid now so just use boiling water in the FV for a swirl around and then all items apart from tubing gets no rinse...

Had a QC bottle to see how it's doing. Been 2 weeks since bottling, but quite a lovely taste. Still cloudy/hazy but I think a bit clearer than last weekend. Not sure if the aroma has reduced but the spicy and tropical flavours are there👍. My first impression tonight was that this strongly...
