What bleach dilution do you use when this happens? I've got a set of returned bottles I'm really struggling with, but haven't tried bleach as yet...

Brewfather IBU anomaly Gamma Ray Clone

I understand that this recipe is in the brewdog book "Craft Beer For The People": "Speaking of recipes, we have also dialled in a section on homebrew with BrewDog recipes and the instructions on how to create ten world-beating beers from other craft breweries we love, many of which are...

    Cleaning stained demi johns

If you have any ceramic beads for baking, I have had decent success dropping a load of those in with an Oxi solution and swirling them 'round the glass

    Fleet and Gedney buying

Ah perfect, thanks MashBag! Incidentally, I would have a preference for crushed grain if the numbers work. Cheers!

    Fleet and Gedney buying

I am in Peterborough and could take half a sack, would need to find some storage containers but that can't be too hard (let me know if you have any tips for cheap options)

    First brew with Brewzilla G4

Great stuff @Twostage, and also thanks for testing out the "heat at 100% for the mash" aspect, that is handy to know! On a related note, do you set hysteresis to 0 when using the PID during mash, or something else?

Leffe Blonde clone: experience of using cloves and vanilla?

Hey @Ross1974 how did this turn out in the end, or is it still too early to tell? Cheers! 🍻

    First brew with Brewzilla G4

Thanks, I had a chance to knock one up to, which (I think!) you can find as "Stepped Mash (Munich Helles)". I'm now going to crib from yours though :D

    First brew with Brewzilla G4

Ah yes, if you don't mind that would be interesting. If you do that then please let me know the title so I can search it out. Cheers!

    First brew with Brewzilla G4

Yes, I think that is what I was suggesting too, only where a larger grain bill is being used. The same grain bill in a G3 and G4 should produce very similar results I would have thought.

    First brew with Brewzilla G4

Glad to see that they are improving the interface, I've also got a Helles coming up on my brew schedule so will be giving the profiles another run 👍

    First brew with Brewzilla G4

@dcbrookes raises a good point though, the diameter of both the G3 and G4 malt pipes are the same, so this should only be a detrimental factor if using the additional ~80cm of height the G4 allows (i.e. if brewing with larger grain bills than the G3 can handle). Though I'm not an engineer so...

    Brewzilla Gen 4 PID

Thanks TETB, I'm going to take a couple of paracetamol and think that over 😄

    Brewzilla Gen 4 PID

Yes, just missing a couple of important zeros here! P=0.58 I=0.0015 👍

    Brewzilla Gen 4 PID

Thanks, yes I've seen this and it seems that he keeps the heating power at 100% when using the PID...
