Last Minute Pressure Fermentation Decision - Did I do the right thing?!

I left it in the fermzilla another week, and then moved it to keg on Wednesday. I reckon it's going to be good beer! (Which is good news as we had a family gathering last weekend which cleaned out my stocks!) It's in the fridge under pressure now and I'm hopeful that with a little conditioning...

Yes, a variation on a recipe you posted recently (I think recently... at least I read it recently :D )

Last Minute Pressure Fermentation Decision - Did I do the right thing?!

Ah okay, that makes sense, so I am understanding from this that the pitching temperature is most important to get within range, and then a higher temperature through the fermentation can be managed by applying pressure if needed. Thanks!

Last Minute Pressure Fermentation Decision - Did I do the right thing?!

Hey all, I brewed a batch of beer (Cascade SMaSH-ish) on a whim last week because I had an unexpected free afternoon, but as it was unplanned when I came to put it in my fermentation fridge I found it wasn't free :laugh8: Its been about 22c indoors and I don't have a garage, so as I was using...

Fridge that fits two 19l cornys

I have an Essentials CUL55W20 in the style of The-Engineer-That-Brews build thread . I find that I get two kegs in without having to remove the light module though, so may depend on keg size. It is also possible to squeeze in a mini keg or two at the back.

    Pinters with own wort

Yes, I've done this in a few different ways but ultimately I dont think it's worth it, and a 10l corny with a spunding valve and a party tap does a much more satisfactory job in my experience. These are the ways I've done it, if you're interested: - Brewed a 5l batch of all grain beer on the...

    BrewZilla 4 - maintaining temperature

Always interesting to read how others are using the system, might give your process a go to see how I like it! What do you have your hysteresis set to? Cheers!

    BrewZilla 4 - maintaining temperature

Were you monitoring the temperature at the top and bottom of your mash with the peco? I get decent results by running the pump and stirring frequently for the first 10-15 minutes or so after mashing in to circulate the liquid around and get to a somewhat consistent temperature throughout the...
