    Out of Date wine kits?

this out of date caper seems to have a 2003 theme( read in another thread). The one im doing at the moment seems to be going bostin, racked it a few days ago, letting nature do its thing as well as the CT and PS. Tasting sound too! got two more Beaverdale OD jobs and a cheap looking Rose kit...

summer fruits cordial wine. Its full bore.

Just done a quick dip on mi wine, its at 1010 og at 1100+ i fudged up a bit on the sugar adjustment, lesson learned. On the taste its 97ron with a summer fruit flavour that grows( still warm at present, cooling sample for retaste), its early but you have to see your in the right direction, ahem...

drinking straight after bottling good idea or bad?

If its good when you bottle/keg it, its gonna be bostin when its served its time behind bars.

    edme lager brew,

done some taste testing on my edme lager. Very good, still a bit young, but the 1/2 campden tablet in the water at the begining, is a must. will be doing this again.

    Using 5 ltr water bottles?

Only use 5 litre bottle for my ghetto wine and cider racket. I have used three ltr pet bottles with no dramas. I would say due to the neck diameter and pitch of the thread alone would not be up to the job.Big weak body, not gonna get you gassed up for secondary fermentation. Leave them for...

    Out of Date wine kits?

The father in law brought round his brewing gear for me today. Heat pad 2 off Pressure kegs( one i have found has a busted tap) no hardship there.+ Gas :thumb: FV a wine press  3 DJ's( one is brown though NTB) plus sundries, etc. in the FV was a stash of red wine kits circa 2003...

Got my summer fruits cordial wine on the go last night :) I used Sainsburys full leaded version.I added a bit more sugar, but i stuck to your method. There was a bit of action after an hour, this morning its a very pretty purple with a nice progressive bubble. :thumb: Nice one Moley
