    Fermenting Vessels

I use that one all the time for my beer (its the only one I have). Apart from needing a long arm to get in and clean I'd also recommend you get yourself a tap to make bottling/transfer alittle easier as syphoning is a pain tap and bottler why do clickys never work for me ? :hmm:

    Morgan's Blue Mountain Lager...?

I had mine over Christmas both in bottles and in the cornie. I loved it but must say the bottles were better due to high carbonation levels. BREWFERM DARK ABBEY (ABDIJ) BEER-TOO HIGH FG

I had the same problem I ended up with an FG of about 1016. I have brewed the Brewferm Pils (20lt) before and that ended up on the high side as well. That turned out to be very nice after 8 weeks in the bottle. The abbey I just batch primed and bottled about a month ago, no exploding bottles...

    advice please

Now I'm no expert but maybe the barrel was flat because you did not prime it. By adding gas it would force the beer out but not provide enough pressure to carbonate the beer. ferminting

Just a question but what if it was a corny, could you not prime using sugar or is this not the done thing as you would prime with co2 anyway ??. I just got some new corny's and have an ale in primary. Should I just rack to the corny condition for a month or two and then pressurise prior to...
