It is dust that harbours the bacteria, If you connect the regulator to the co2 bottle without attaching the tubing and give it a good blast by opening the valve on the co2 bottle that should clear any dust that may be lurking in the regulator. Works for Me anyway. BZ

I got hacked off with the plastic wine paddle bending on the 25kg brews. They clean up nicely with a drop of lemon juice on a polishing rag. I've still got to make the wort chiller before brew day.
