Opened packet of Alcotec turbo yeast, how should I keep it?

Yeah the moonshine was 'orrible in my opinion but the missus thought it was quite nice. Looks like I'm making more of it then I suppose!

Opened packet of Alcotec turbo yeast, how should I keep it?

To be fair, I'm not using it as part of my "proper" brewing kit, just to experiment and see what's possible. I made some 48hr apple "moonshine" which was quite funny :smile6: I'll just keep it airtight in a cool place and try use the rest asap in some other crazy brew I guess :thumb:

Opened packet of Alcotec turbo yeast, how should I keep it?

Good evening mates. I opened a packet of that Alcotec 48hr turbo yeast stuff 4 days ago and it just dawned on me that maybe I should have put it in the fridge (there are no storage instructions on the pack). My question is, will it be ok now if I fridge it or should I just bin it and take it...

    What did you brew today?

Aye it was Big Secue that gave me the idea, I love watching his vids and it is a shame he's knocked it on the head. Your wheat beer sounds really interesting, hope it turns out good for you mate.

Brew not doing anything.. am I being paranoid and or impatient?

Thanks everyone! Yeah I'll try not to fiddle with it and just take a gravity reading next weekend, airlock activity or not. My cider seems to be bubbling away like a good un anyhow, so at least I've got something to look at :laugh2:

Hello. Yeah i did put the yeast in  There does look to be some foam building up and the lid is definitely on properly, so perhaps I just need to take a chill pill and see what it's doing tomorrow :thumb: cheers mate.

Brew not doing anything.. am I being paranoid and or impatient?

Thank god its the weekend eh? And if you work weekends, please accept my apology ;) Managed to get my Norfolk Nog brew going in the fermenter and it's been sat in a nice 19-20c cupboard since around 1600 yesterday (22 hours approx). I've not noticed any activity in the airlock yet so was just...

    What did you brew today?

First ever brew day for me today! I've got 40 pints of Woodfordes Norfolk Nog (from a kit) on the go. I also went a little bit crazy and thought I'd make an experimental brew based on a Youtube video I watched for hopped Cider! 4.5 litres of apple juice 200g sugar 30g citra hops (from...
