    Cooper's European Lager.

Anyone tried this? About to place it in the fermenter. Instructions say to use an enhancer, preferably a Cooper's brand. Unfortunately I don't have any, so sticking to regular Sugar.

    Cooper's Ginger Beer.

Been consuming the Ginger Beer for several weeks now. I doubt it'll clear, then again I don't think it's supposed to. Taste is very good, probably would do better in bottles though.

    Morgan's Cortes' Cerveza.

Gonna get this in the fermenter this evening. Anybody tried this one? Will bottle rather than barrel.

Agreed, I too have suffered poor head retention with most kits. But the malty the wort the better the head. Still think the Guiness Surger may be the way forward and much more sophisticated than a plastic syringe.

first time brewer needing help! asap!

Interesting, as they say, you learn something everyday. Thanks for sharing that. :) So cooler fermenting temperatures generally will help to acheive a less yeasty taste throughout most beers? Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of time. Obviously necessary for this process. :(

It's one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GUINNESS-SURGER-K ... 286.c0.m14 I was told by the two chaps at The Homebrew Shop in Clacton-on-Sea. They couldn't praise it enough. I haven't got one yet since I'm aware of what price they should go for. The metal base when switched on via 240v supply...

Ok, an old fridge is used, but not for it's usual general purpose. Lager with lots of yeast? That doesn't sound too tasty. I'm paranoid about mine having too much of a yeasty taste.

Lager brewed in a fridge! Surely not? Nothing is gonna happen at five degrees.

Youngs definitive kit - highly recommended!!

Looks good. Do you have price on that one? Reasonable cheap?

    Bacon in beer?

The meat may slightly decay. Gut instinct say's no.

I was told a Guiness Suger does wonders for our homebrewed beers? :wha:

    which bitter kit?

I've always enjoyed Geordie's Yorkshire Bitter. I've never bothered with an enhancer, but so good so far. :) Cheap and reliable.

    which bitter kit?

Second that! The best kit I've done so far! :D

    Cooper's Ginger Beer.

Anybody tried this? I've just placed a barrels worth in my brew shed outside for clearing/conditioning. I'm not sure if this type of kit produces a clear liquid? I will say the taste is damn good though! Also the instructions said it should've been a 1030 for O.G. worked out at 1020...

    Magnum Ciders

I was suprised when I opened the tin of the Magnum Strawberry Cider. It is VERY red in it's colouring. Not sure if food colouring has been used. I too was pleased with Magnum Pear Cider. Have you tried the Elderflower variety? I found that to be just as good also. :drink: S.G. is...

    Magnum Ciders

So far I've made the Elderflower, Pear and the Strawberry. I'm very pleased with these kits and would recommend them to anyone who hasn't already given em' a go. :D I barrelled em', yeah guess they would've neen better in bottles. Lazy sod am I!
