    Newbie

Hi guys, I got a starter kit from the wife on my birthday and caught the bug! I love beer and always wanted to have a go. Hopefully with a bit of help on here I'll be all graining in no time. But I'll settle for a tweaked tin recipe for now! Just bought a Wilkos stout today.

    Wilko Dark Velvet Stout

I bought two cans of this today. I read somewhere about using two tins with the same water and sugar as for one. Has anyone tryed this? Ive got some medium malt and some enhancer as well. Was also going to add a tin of black treacle too. Am I getting carried away? I do love a strong stout though.

    Wilko yeast nutrient for beer?

Hi guys, today a bought some yeast nutrient from wilkos for my next brew. On the directions it says to add 1 rounded teaspoonful per gallon to the WINE mix and stir well. Is this stuff just for wine or will it get the yeasties working hard in my stout or is it just for wine? Thanks
