    At least if a bottle leaks or even explodes lol then you still have other bottles to sup,and no need for co2 regassing etc,open a bottle and just enjoy,i doubt i be in any hurry to re-use my barrels again if honest,years ago i used to use 2lt plastic pop bottles...Its what im going to use again...

    I agree piddledribble,i think a beer tastes much better from a bottle and its the way im going to go from now on..My IPA will be getting bottled this weekend,not barreled as originally planned,My cheap wilkinsons bitter can go in the barrel once made :party:

    Stuff xmas lol...dont think it will last,had 4 pints tonight and feel all warmand fuzzy inside ha ha Burp,,Hic !!! Perfect...Tho it still glugs and splutters coming out the barrel after 2 pint but i can live with that for this one,ill get canisterfor nextbarreled ale,my IPA is going in 2lt...

    Try Better Brew Irish Stout,Its awesome....Creamy head forever lol...Oh and if you go to Wilkinsons they have offer on at mo on Coopers £11 a tin or get ther own brand and free sugar for £10...Happy days

    Cheers for that,i may bring it back indoors in the morning,add a littlemore sugar,say 50g,give it a stir,and add heater belt for day or too then leave at room temp for another week and put it in coldest room in house until xmas,see if that helps...This i why i hate barrels,dont get this problem...

    Bottle it,leave it indoors warm for a week then place outdoors in a shed or cool place for a further week or two to condition. Not sure i would leave it in the fv.. :drunk:

    Its the " Better Brew " They are a new make on the market by Hambletonbard,my homebrew shop stocks it and swears by the stuff,check out Hambletonbard.com for full details of there brews,they quite unique.Its bubbling away like atrain here,doing great..looking forward to it.

    Well i made my IPA today,added 500g of Tate n Lyle Golden Syrup,500g Spray Malt and 500g Dextrose.8 hrs later and its going nuts lol..My sg start reading was 1056 so its working out at final sg could reach 6.8% vol...Happy days.

    Whe you say short brew is that topping up to say 20lt insted of 23 and does this boost alcohol without affecting taste and body

    Which is better as a priming sugar for my Barrel or Bottles ? Ive got Irish Stout on the go and ready to Barrel in a few days and as i have both a bag of Dextrose and Dark Spray Malt in my cupboard wondered which one would be better to use,,,and how much... :cheers: :cheers:
