    Nelson Sauvin for bittering

    i use it all the time in my best mate special bitter, both bittering and aroma excellent results smooth and clean bittering and dry hopped to give lovely gooseberry flavours molesey brewer :cheers:

    grow your own hops

    i planted a couple of hop rhizomes last spring, and the hops were excellent , the new seasons rhizomes are now available to order if you have space in your garden give it a go you can get them from http://www.willingham-nurseries.co.uk/hop3.html molsey brewer :cheers:

    no alarm but its got a strong steel bar going across the double doors secured with a strong lock.

    i was limited to a 8 x 8 existing concrete base, but went for the highest shed i could find so i could get the hlt up where it needed to be, im very pleased with it.

    xmas brew

    The recipe is for a 55 litre batch, 9600 grams maris otter, 800 grams crystal, 500 grams torri wheat, 100 grams choc malt total rains = 11kg x 2.5 ltrs per kilo = 27.5 litres in mash tun, i put the treated liquor into the mash tun and add all the grain into the tun, 75 c strike temp = 66 c mash...

    xmas brew

    few, thats one of the xmas brew safely done 1050og pale ale called Best mate named after a since departed best mate, using mostly nelson sauvin, no trouble cooling the wort today very cold, i will keep adding a few posts so that hopefully i can up can attach a link to show show images of my brew...
