    Hi yes I will let you know how it goes. I have made wine with dried fruit before and it was very nice indeed. I really never go to the 23 litre mark usually go to 20 litres and 4 kilos of sugar is needed! Will start as soon as it comes :)

    Yes I gave it a good old airing/stir when the water went in. I may have to move it somewhere warmer for a week before putting it in a cool place

    just wondering if any of you use electric blankets set on a low setting to keep the beer at around 20c?

    ok..Have added 80g of castor sugar with a bit of boiling water to dissolve the sugar and now it is wrapped in a blanket but temps are only 14/16c ..I know it should be a bit warmer of 18c to 20c but will take longer .. Thanks for your help lads

    Yeah I think I added about 80g to my last keg brew,think that was a Headcracker .. Ok..I am going to add 80g to my keg now.. Thanks :)

    I have done the fermenting and now going into priming yes. I didn't add any sugar to the Ale as it stated not to but I added some 2 weeks later to try to get it more down to 1.10 as it was stuck on 1.020 for a long time but this morning it was 1.015 so it has gone down a bit.The ale looks not so...

    Problem

    Hi Guys Haven't been on for a while.I am brewing a India Pale Ale 3kg and I got it to about 1.045 SG and it's been stuck on 1.018 for 10 days or so.I added a little sugar last week and gave it a bit of a stir but a week later,today,it is still on 1.015..This will only give me a 3.9% thereabouts...

    Hi .. I wanted a bit of advice.I have got myself a one gallon or 5 litre orange container full of orange.It's not the concentrated stuff but it's sugar free but just wondered would I need to add any concentrated orange juice as well to this to make some wine? I can add castor sugar or normal...

    OK,it's been 4 days now and the bubbling has already stopped..How can this be? It was bubbling away every 4 seconds last night then just completely stopped! Is this normal?
