    i don't get it then, how do bottles of beer you buy stay carbonated in the bottle, i thought all they were doing was carbonating the beer then bottling it, thats what i'd be doing, no?

    just had a thought, what i do when brewing is transfer all the beer to a keg with priming sugar in it then straight away fill up about 10 bottles from the keg with the sugary beer..........but i was wondering if i could leave the keg to carbonate first and then bottle around 10 bottle's...

    hi just brewed a stout and i'm ready to keg it, it's a 40 pints edmes stout kit. how much priming sugar? i also have a little bit of pray malt which i'm going to add with the sugar and i'm guessing spray malt has the same sugaryness to weight ratio as sugar?

    do i need to add priming sugar if i'm using beer finings?

    yea i was thinking of getting some gas for it but the keg i got only has a air bleed on the cap so no way to add c02 to it. you can replace the cap for the ones that can hold a c02 cartridge but thats another £10, i'm just going to try it without the gas for this brew see how it goes.
