    Not hoppy enough

I want to make my own with liquid malts and hops, not sure where to start though, e.g. Ratio of malts to water, I should look up some recipes.

    Not hoppy enough

Thanks I'm relieved that it will become clearer, yes have muslin that I could make a bag with. If I bottle Saturday this will give them 2 days in the beer, I'm thinking I will just add a few as a compromise. Understand that kits can be quite neutral and so can use a bit of effort to give them...

thanks so much! Feeling much better about 2 & 3 particularly. In negotiations about 1 with partner who doesn't want me to mess with it.

    Not hoppy enough

Hi, I have a Pilsner on the go, the gravity is now steady and I plan to bottle at the weekend. I had a taste and it certainly tastes like beer. I do have a few questions, wondering if anyone can help me. 1. I like my beer quite hoppy and would prefer a stronger hop flavour, I heard I can...

    Is it too warm

You could pack it around the fermenter, but would be cautious about infecting your brew. I gently stirred mine frequently with sterilized stirrer, each time replacing lid, as I was waiting for it to hit 23 & wanted to go to bed, I think this speeded the cooling up a tad. Wonder if anybody...

    Is it too warm

I was told to not add yeast until it hit 23. Only made 2 brews but both fermentation in a lively way within 10 hrs, so advice worked. It might take a little while to drop 3 degrees in a fermenting bucket, this is what I found with 1st.

    Brewmaker, Pilsner Lager Review

I am brewing this also. It's been in secondary fermentation 10 days, I tasted it 3 days ago, seemed ok, not very strong though. I added a little northern brewer hops and maybe should have added quite a bit more. Wondering how long it took yours to clear. cheers !

New & looking for good kit recommendations

Wow thanks everyone, I will make a liet of the recs & take it with me when I go to local brew shop, I know I've seen coopers there and it's one of the better priced ones. They had a bunch of different beer kits. Live in the middle of nowhere, so limited to 1 shop, but they are really...

New & looking for good kit recommendations

just joined, hi all! I'm new to brewing but not new to what beer is. Ive got a Pilsner ready to bottle soon, and a Guinness just finishing it's primary fermentation, I did this on purpose (2 extremes) as love all kinds of beer and wanted some variety. Planning a third, looking for good...
