    Cheapest PET bottles

I haven't said anything you don't agree with? If you leave the bottles upside down then the trub does settle in the top just as it settles in the bottom if you store them the normal way. Its a fact. Personally I don't use the pet bottles I keg/bottle in glass and have never had a problem with...

    Cheapest PET bottles

Store them upside down and all your trub will stay in the lid when you open them.

    safale s-33 hard work!

Did you pitch it dry or make a starter?

    Kegerator

My fridge is quite flat so theoretically that would work but as I say supposed to be getting a drip tray from the states. Yeah so I set my beer at around 20-25 psi and leave it for 3-4 days. Then vent down to 10 or below and serve. What are you carbing your beer at? Could you have over carbed it?

    WANTED - Kegerator Taps

Norm was saying the taps were around 45 for one or 80 for two.

    Kegerator

No foaming problems here. The line is about 2.5 meters long its just coiled so looks shorter. If anything I could use a bit more foam. Beer serving pressure at 10ish psi and carbed at around 20 psi. That drip trap looks good but you can't really attach it to the fridge door no?

    WANTED - Kegerator Taps

Any joy looking for taps? I need another one myself and I am trying to get the same one as I already have. I've just got the simple one like this at the moment, but it has a longer thread so as to go through my fridge and a barb on the end of that rather than the disconnect.

Wanted: Fridge in Glasgow big enough for cornys

Thanks for your reply mate. I actually managed to convince my mum that she really needed a new fridge so took her old one, shameless I know. I'll delete this post shortly. Thanks

    Kegerator

I am using 3/8th beer line which I ordered from hop and grape which works really well. Very good website especially for grain and corny bits and pieces so would definitely recommend. Really your disconnect should not be springing off the corny even if your line is rigid, are you sure its...

    Kegerator

Seem to be pretty difficult to get hold of in the UK for a reasonable price but I have a mate in the US who is buying for me and then gonna post across. Haven't seen a decent one here for less than 25/30 quid.

    Red Ale Recipe

I would use white labs all the time if cost was no object to be fair. I plan on getting some white labs strains that I am more likely to use often and split them.

    Kegerator

Just constructed my kegerator today, very happy with the outcome! Just need to get my hands on one more tap (maybe more in the future) and its fully completed! Couple of photos below, thoughts?

Staying with Kits or moving on?

You should be able to do a full size brew with a 30l pot. My stainless steel pot is not much bigger than that and before I made my own mash tun I just mashed in it also BIAB style. Just have to keep it warm with blankets etc. AG is so much more satisfying than kits, you won't look back once you...

    Corny's...

Thanks for your help. I decided to give it a try of dropping the serving pressure down and also changed to using another tap. Whilst maybe the first 1/3 of the beer came out as foam it then became just beer. Whilst this was better it didn't seem to hold fizz for a very significant period of...

    Red Ale Recipe

I am attempting to make an Red Ale. Here is the outline of the recipe I plan to use. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts/tips/recipes of their own? Particularly wondering how people have managed to get a nice red colour. I was intending to use the white labs irish red ale yeast but I have...

    Have I gone wrong?

When I was doing kits the beer was often consumed after something like 7 days in the bottle! Never had the kind of taste being described here due to a lack of conditioning to be honest.
