    I have had a lager in a barrel for a few days now and there is a leak where the tap connects to the barrel. Whats the best thing to do as I don't have enough bottles and it needs to get fizzy. I have 40 pints of the stuff. Would 2 litre PET's work? Just need it to fizz and mature. Thanks

    Hey all, I have a Coopers Mexican Cerveza beer kit and it says to use a 1Kg brew enhancer 2 or 500g of light dry malt + 250g sugar. Is that necessary or could I just use 1Kg of sugar instead?

    Hey all, I made a wash and after stabilising and adding activated carbon the liquid went black. I added finings the next day and after 3 days now not much has changed. It's still very black and not cleared much. Any ideas guys?

    Judging alcohol level

    Thanks all. I put in 1.60kg at the start now and got an OG of 1.124. So looking for about 17.6% I think. Just straight up yeast, water, nutrient and sugar. Going to take some good advice from here and add Sodastream apple syrup and some malic acid to make it sour apple. Probably some green food...

    Thanks bobsbeer. So for 5 litres just use 1 tsp of yeast and 1kg of sugar. then the next day onwards just add 200g until the second kg had gone? Or should i leave it a few days before i start adding the sugar? Will 1kg be too much to start it off do you think? Sorry for all the questions...

    WoW tastes a bit too alcoholly (not a word i know)

    Hi, Just finished my first wow to the guide and it just tastes like it has too much alcohol. Not enough flavour. I have back sweetened to medium dry and it came out at 13% abv. Any ideas?
