I had the same question mate yesterday. As long as there's a barrier of water you're ok

Its just really difficult for to keep it cool. I'm gonna try some ice packs today and see if that works.

Hmmm its sitting at 24 just now I might let this pan out at 24 see how I get on.

I have a screwtop fermenter so the airlock seemed wise. Will be using my SGs to say when its done.

Just put the lid on a coopers brewing kit. Says the ideal temp can be around 24/25c is that something I should do or should I keep it lower? Thanks for any input.

This is my first time using an airlock. I have a one piece airlock which has a u bend in it. I filled it with water so both sides of the u bend were about 3/4 full. I've cone back to a small pool of water and the gas has pushed the water out of the first side of the u bend into the next so...

So would you add spray malt on top of your sugar or half and half

What I'd like to know is how to use spray malt and what does it do?

Never used it before and I've got a lager that I used sugar in so I'm interested to see the difference. :grin:

I think the brew will warm itself up during the fermentation so you might be ok if your rooms close to the ideal temp. I have the opposite problem. My rooms too warm so I need to try and cool it down.

I cant remember right now, but I think it was the Brewferm one. I just got it to try.
