    High Fg with brew enhancer

I've read that the brew enhancer has caused the same problems for others Its sitting at 1.014 I'd like it to be 1.010 or below. Might just be worrying over nothing. I'll leave it a little longer. How do you use the extra light DME is it on top of the sugar/brew enhancer or in place of? Thanks

    High Fg with brew enhancer

Think the brew enhancer has caused my FG to be a bit high. For next time what would you guys recommend for mixing with brew enhancer to get a better lager?

    Shaking fermentor

I think it was in regards to when the fermentation slows right down at the end before you reach your desired FG. Which as you may have read is happening to me.

    Shaking fermentor

I've read that shaking your fermenter can stir up the yeast and brew enhancer to get the last little bit of booze out of the mix Anyone recommend this?

    hydrometer reading

That's bringing my abv out at 3.15-3.5 what could have caused this to end up so low.

    hydrometer reading

I did take a hydro reading when it was at 21 by accident then proceeded to smash my hydro before adding about 1-2 litres more water to get the temp and volume right. How much would adding 1-2 litres of water affect the hydro reading?

    hydrometer reading

I started it at 24/5 then dropped it down. Was just a hot start. first week was 18-21 then I've let it creep up once it calmed down. Sitting at about 20/22 just now. I'll test it on friday and then on sunday. If its the same I should be safe to bottle? I'll just end up with a weaker beer?

    hydrometer reading

Its a cooper original lager. thats it been in for 10 days. I know I shouldn't rely on the airlock thus the reason i'm doing hydrometer tests but I havn't seen a single bubble come out of the airlock in days. I used brew enhancer and I know that can lower the abv ever so slightly but would it...

    hydrometer reading

I've taken my first hydrometer testing to check the fermentation has finished, I'll do another in 2 days. I started off with 1.042 and I've come out with 1.016 corrected to 1.014 (I took a reading of water at the calibration of 20c and it was .002 out.) I know you shouldn't bottle until under...

    kegged home brew

I have a lager kegged I know it won't hold fizz and bottles are better but I didn't know this at the time. I want to check how long with this keep after first pint, I have a co2 injector?

    Fermentation temp

I've got similar airlock to that and I'll be honest in a quiet room. Ie when your sleeping it can be quite noisey.

    Sanatized equipment

I've got the same bottles. I'd sanitise them. Better safe than sorry.
