    Stout - no froth in the fermentation bin

    hi iv'e had the same thing a few weeks ago with a thomas coopers stout kit, same thing didn't seem to be any action at all no froth etc, left it in the fv for 10 days the fg was 1010 so i kegged it it was fine taste great. I started another one last friday same thing doesn't seem to be doing...

    first time bottling not to good

    hi moley, tea strainer didn't think of that one cheers,will have to refuse request of a bottle from family members then due to health and saftey etc :D seem to get more visits since i started brewing.

    first time bottling not to good

    hi everyone, iv'e just bottled for the first time coopers irish stout, it didn't go to well had no bottling stick so used a short piece of pipe this fell into one bottle, cut another piece all went well untill i got to the end. I unplugged the immersion type heater well before the bottling...

    Mrs been on my case to do a tip run so this morning i bit the bullet and did as instructed :cry: , the lady behind me was disposing of a hamilton bard beer sphere all intact, obviously i offered to recycle it for her result or what :cheers:

    using vasoline on barrel top

    hi everyone, i have a couple of the economy kegs and the instructions say to use vasoline on the seal and thread (top not the tap). Iv'e done this a few times now and all that happens is the white washer kinks and doesn't make an airtight seal, I end up washing it clean and putting it in dry...

    coopers irish stout

    hello, i purchased a coopers irish stout the instructions recommend 500g spray malt and 200g brewing sugar. Would it still work with just brewing sugar? iv'e not got any spray malt and wanted to do it tonight. thanks derek
