    Thanks Bob.

    Pressure Valve

Thanks for that. I wasn't sure if these things could be replaced. The old valve cap I had, could probably rescued. It never actually touched any liquid, but the brass valve has become discoloured. Perhaps I could clean this up, and replace the seals. Are these easy to find?

    Pressure Valve

It's that time of year again, and yet again, I'm having problems with my pressure valve, which worked perfectly last year. I put vaseline round the main seals, as someone suggested. I released some of the air from the barrel, as the tap was dripping, and in a previous thread, it was suggested...

    Tap Dripping

Mines not 'leaking' from the washer, it's coming from where it should do, but even when it's turned off. You can feel it 'click' into place when it's turned off correctly, but it's still dripping. I didn't have this problem last year, so maybe it is the pressure. All I can think off is release...

    Tap Dripping

I posted on another thread, what a success I had last year with my beer, and a problem free barrel. This year, not so good. I put my beer in the barrel last week, and left it. I went to look at it this week, and the rug on the floor was wet. It looks as though the tap is dripping, even though it...

    Which filters?

I've made some citrus whisky, out of a country Christmas book. It's basically a bottle of cheap whisky, juice and peel from Oranges, Lemons and Limes, along with sugar. It's been in a jar now for nearly 3 months. The final instructions are to strain the contents of the jar into a jug, then...

    Pressure Valve

Sorry for the long delay, but thanks PhatFill. I think I remove them and clean them, every couple of brews. Thanks for your advice. :drink:

    Pressure Valve

Thanks Jaffa/PhatFil, that's exactly what I use, but for some reason, last time didn't work. The good news is that this time, I had the best batch of home brew, I've ever had. I didn't only need to use one CO2 bulb, after about 20/25 pints. I also put a new tap on the barrel, as the last one...

    Pressure Valve

I posted last year, about problems with a pressure valve. It was a Youngs U brew CO2 injector that I was having problems with. When I tried to inject co2 into the barrel, as soon as the co2 cartridge was pierced, it shot out of the holder, which is supposed to be specifically made for the...

    Pressure Valve

This is only the second time I have tried brewing beer, and I have a problem with my pressure barrel. Last year, I purchased a fermentation bucket, and a pressure barrel. I also bought a replacement cap with a valve fitted, and some CO2 cartridges and holder. After pulling a couple of pints, I...
