Same here. I doubt it'll get to that level because there just isn't the same amount of money.

    Premier league. [Spoiler warning]

Yeah, agents are just starting to get their claws into cycling (my fave sport) with similar predictable results. Riders suddenly unhappy in their current team then going elsewhere for silly money!!

Being a manager really seems a thankless task nowadays! The best you can hope for is a good severance package

Good Ridance to 45 welcome to Biden

Question is, who is going to replace Trump?? There was an awful lot of people who loved him and everything he stood for. Could end up with someone even worse!!!

    High Gravity Brewing

This was exactly what I was lookng for. About to make a stout and dilute it to make more volume and was wondering if I'd need to increase the hops Nice one!

    Hefeweizen recipe

Yeah I have some and have had mixed results so far. I'm still pretty new to brewing so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually.

    Hefeweizen recipe

That sounds perfect! I don't have temperature control and from March onwards it's just too warm in my flat to brew at the usual ranges.

    Hefeweizen recipe

Forgive my ignorance, but can you feement wheat beers at a higher temperature? Really need ideas for brewing in warmer climates. Not that keen on saison and still haven't got the hang of kveik yet.

The EU and UK have reached a post-Brexit trade deal

First of all sorry for late response the old Xmas got in the way, hope everyone had/is having a great time. You're right that the EU will definitely lose something from having one of its biggest players leave. That has never been in doubt and probably the main reason why the EU has been so...

    NEIPA hints and tips

To be honest it sounded like a tall story really, especially when the brewfirm ones are way more expensive than ones for a bike. I'll give it a whirl coz I've got loads of them

    NEIPA hints and tips

I read that the co2 cartridges for bikes shouldn't be used with beers coz they're not "food grade" and may have other stuff in there. Not sure how true this is, have you had any problems with the bike ones??

Kveik yeast - high fermentation temperatures

Eeeek I've bottom harvested mine!!! Might have to change tactics on the next brew.
  17. BradleyW

    Kveik

Supposedly yeah but I haven't noticed it yet. You do get a bit of an "earthy" taste but it's really mild.

Kveik yeast - high fermentation temperatures

I'm still a newcomer to this brewing lark but the last 2 batches I've done have been with kveik and I chilled the wort to 30°, pitched and then left it at room temperature (I have no temp control) and they've both turned out quite well. So in my experience yes you can do what you're thinking of...

    Kveik

I bottled my first stout attempt yesterday. I used the horningdal strain and when I had a quick preview sip from the fermenter was quite pleased. Getting a good coffee hit with a tiny hint of chocolate and although the aroma of the yeast is there, the flavour is quite clean.

The big guns over here have started bringing out more interesting stuff which is great! I must say this porter by Alhambra is very nice!
