Hello everyone. Found some good advice on here recently so thought joining would be a good idea. I'm on day 3 fermenting my first homebrew a Woodforde Wherry kit as I wanted to get practical experience in the basics and fermenting before hopefully moving to all grain, though I try extract and steeping grains first.

Welcome to the forum!

That was the first kit I ever made many years ago, and I remember being pleased with it :-)

I think it's a good idea to at least start with kits and get the basics down first.

I think so I got into watching all grain videos on YouTube and wanted to jump straight to it, but one video doing an explainer said good fermenting and conditioning can make bad beer taste good, but bad fermenting will make good beer taste bad, so basically work backwards sort out fermenting skills and if you're buying new kit start buying from the end backwards. Actually makes sense.

Forgot to ask how did your Wherry turnout?
