Hi all.

Just while waiting for some parts to finish the job of my gas inlet install (and basically I'm desperately pressed for time as I need these carbed for Christmas).
I've decided to put some kegs into the temp chamber and test out the newly drilled gas inlet holes.
Only to find one of my kegs containing my stout with 0 pressure in it.
Which I thought was weird because I definitely pressurised it to 40 psi of mixed gas.

Just put on about 8 psi to maintain positive pressure and swapped it out for a different PRV spring.

So Ive tried two different PRVs Springs and 2 different O-Rings and the same thing happening with the second PRV spring, making me start to assume it's the area in the lid that is recessed for the O-Ring to rest on.

Since I'm just wasting gas I'm swapping to the other keg I have so that I can properly investigate what the flip is going on here.

Whilst I wait for that other keg to clean on my bucket blaster... any thoughts?😅

Don't wanna try to investigate while getting blasted on the face with N2/CO2 lol

Is that the right type of prv? All of mine (various manufacturers) look like this:

I managed to get it transfered into a new clean keg (not without it's own complications but we live and learn)
And I'm looking at the port for the PRV and tbh I don't think it is the correct type that's on here.
I had a look at the lid of the other keg that I'm using and the same PRV sat completely different.
I've attached images of top sode and underside.

Its almost like the PRV isnt long enough for where its sitting?

Wonder if I have any others that I could test for fit sitting around🤔

Is this one of the kegs you got used with the wrong posts on?

Nothing wrong with used, but bkt kegs get qc’d before dispatch.
I bought from marketplace, not from BKT. The seller replaces the posts and orings. Considering that all the PRVs are the same and fairly newish looking I am assuming the seller also replaced these too.
considering that I got 3 for the price of 1 new one, im not complaining. Even if I can't get this PRV to hold pressure, gives me a great vessel to store cleaning solutions.
