Hi all, I'm planning to install a kegerator in the kitchen, using an undercounter fridge. Ideally I'd like to use tower taps on the worktop above but I'm worried how I would keep the beer lines and inside of the tower cool if it's not mounted directly to the fridge.

Any ideas?

To be honest, that was my initial thought before I went in to the "if I were doing it myself" mode, where I decided I would have the 3/16 fed out of the drain hole and lag all the way to the tower.
The reason I prefer that approach is:
  • No drilling or making holes in fridge
    • No risk of damaging cooling lines
    • Can be used as a fridge in future if desired
  • The fridge can be moved (for cleaning etc)
  • Ease of construction
I totally get that I have given more advice than you were looking for 🤣

I used this in my beer tower. Perfect fit and leaves enough room for beer lines. Incidentally I use 4mm ID x 8mm OD EVA Barrier for my beer lines.
