Judging in September
Judging in September
Just move the othersA heads up to anyone who has entered this:
The date has now changed to 12th October, to avoid a clash with an event on the original 14th September date (I'm assuming this is the Craft Beer Channel / Malt Miller festival).
There is a chance it could move again though as it now clashes with Norwich Amateur Brewers' competition.
Let us know how you get onHad two entries. One I bottled up and it was properly oxidised, I know exactly what I did wrong, so I was definitely not sending that garbage!
So only one. Hopefully delivered in one piece.
Very pleased to see my Best Bitter got bronze. Very pleased indeed.
Edit: Even more chuffed now looking back at the recipe and remembering I used my home grown Fuggles!
Well done to everybody and thanks to the organisers.. Picked up two golds, utterly blown away right now...
Congratulations!Well done to everybody and thanks to the organisers.. Picked up two golds, utterly blown away right now...
I knew my beer wouldn't win. I know one thing that went wrong but wanted see what the judges made off. I'm looking forward to reading their comments.Scores and winners are up - sheets not yet uploaded
Well done winners!!!
I am not one, but that's okay! This was definitely a feedback needed beer and nothing better than to have folks who know what they're talking about give me some!
There appears to be. I can't see mineIs there still an issue with viewing the scoresheets?
Got them. Thanks Jack for fighting the IT gremlins and huge thank you for organising the event!
In the interest of constructive feedback, im not a huge fan of this format of scoresheet. Just a few tick boxes and little in the way of describing the beer. I get they prob allow for judging to be done a lot faster though
IMO if this type of scoresheet is used, judges should always write a final comment, ideally focusing on how that beer could score better. When a beer gets mid 30’s+ with no flaws its often hard to get a sense of how to make it better/true to style
As i say, huge thanks to jack, judges and sponsors, i love beer comps. Just hopefully some constructive feedback on this type of scoresheet
