I have the tamnavulin double cask and it’s a strange one taste wise. It’s like a fruit cake but not in the best way. It’s not really grown on me. Never seen that one in Tesco but I did see Jameson black barel down to £28 and I’ve another £4 off with the daughters staff discount so I had to buy 2
I've got a bottle of the double cask lurking around somewhere, I found it very much the same, it was alright but didn't seem to land squarely in any real direction.
The taste I would describe as “dead” and you can’t put your finger on any specific flavour.
