You know it’ll be worth it when you put that glass to your lips and the smell hits your nose - fruit, spice, vanilla, a little smoke.Yeah rub it in why don’t you.
I did see some Johnnie walker behing the bar in the piano bar last night. Might have to enquire as to the price. But not hopeful of a good outcome in that regard.
They do have whiskey called “jacky” in the all inclusive but I was afraid to try it. The heat didn’t add to whiskey drinking either as the air conditioning only cools to about 30You know it’ll be worth it when you put that glass to your lips and the smell hits your nose - fruit, spice, vanilla, a little smoke.
You could ask to try the local stuff, in Cyprus I had their local brandy and it was better than Courvoisier at less than half the price.
It possibly wouldn’t make the grade at home but in your needy state…@Hazelwood Brewery good shout. Not a bad offering. A double asked for a treble delivered

Actually not bad at all. Very burboun like with lots of brown sugar / caramel notes and very smooth not tasting high in alcohol at all. Not sure how it would leave you in the morning though

laphroig 10 is a pretty “marmite” whiskey I think. It’s either love it or hate it. The oak select is a bit more main stream and smoother. Both benifit from a few drops of water and 30 mins in the glass before drinking. I like peat forward drams but they are not for everyoneAfter 2 or 3 glasses of Talisker (I much prefer Talisker), I’m finishing with a glass of port. I do wish though this was the vintage reserve which is pretty damn good.
