I agree, Southgate is a reactive manager. England played their best football after going one behind. I thought Kane had a poor tournament. Pickford did well tonight, I am not normally a fan

I honestly believe if we had left him at home we would have played better through the knockout stages and there wouldn't have been so much pressure on the team.

Never liked Kane.m and agree would have been better to have not taken him.

SWMBO, who hates football with a passion watched some games with me and even she could see where England were going wrong.
But hey, a final is always a win to me! As with all one-of games it can be a bit luck of the draw. That's why the FA cup has always been such a draw. But last night the best team by far won!

Southgate had the biggest pool of talent collectively at this tournament and still restricts there style of club play and that is what got them selected in the first place. why take players and play them out of position and style of play it confuses anybody .
Kane was injured prior to the competition and should not have played he was slow and cover defensively too much a striker is a striker and if he is not in position scoring opportunities go begging whilst not being able to make those breakaway runs because he is in our half.

I reckon if Kane was on the pitch this very second by himself. He'd still not get anywhere near the ball let alone score.

England has to come up with a game they can be good at. England gave us Soccer (Football), and one World Cup to show for it. England gave us Rugby Union, one World Cup to show for it. England gave us Rugby league but has never won anything on the world stage. England gave us cricket but again has only secured one World Cup. Time to go back to the drawing board and come up with another game.
