Brewzilla Gen 4 advice and experiences

Users can switch to a numerical interface, displaying only the temperature and time values, by unselecting the "Show graph" checkbox in the settings menu.

Brewzilla Gen 4 advice and experiences

I do agree, but before investing in something like this it's a good idea to do some research. I've had my G4 35 litre since all August 2023. But before I bought it I tried to find more information from users on YouTube. One of my go-to's for information is the HomeBrew network "Gash" It gave...

I was just about to say the same thing. IE: You could split the rest into two steps. Heat to rest temperature. Power 60% differential 5. Maintain rest temperature. Power 30% differential 1.

You can still get the original kegland secondary regulator without the gauge, it's cheaper and like you said you can fit a larger gauge in a tee piece.

Brewing with a RAPT Bluetooth thermometer. This New video has been posted on the Kegland YouTube channel. I would suggest new or struggling users give it a view.

    Co2 transfer loop

How about a 8mm duotight tee with kegland inline reg on one side and a pressure gauge on the other ? Same setup as post number 20 but with the inline reg instead of the spunding valve. Edit: I've been using a couple of those white kagland secondary regulators for a couple of years now. Very...

    WHC dried yeasts

Very happy with Saturated and Bond. My latest batch was repitched on the Bond yeast cake from previous batch, reached final gravity in 36 hours. After 3 hours it looked like this.

    Co2 transfer loop

I agree with most of that, unless you're going for something to replicate a cask ale . 1.5vol CO2 equates to about 12 PSI at 20°C. Of course if mashbag is just using a sugar wash to produce gas, the reference to CO2 in the beer is irrelevant. What is the cost of producing CO2 with a sugar wash...

The spunding valve is set in combination with fermentation temperature to control the volume of CO2 in the finished beer.

    Co2 transfer loop

I've done that quite a few times, After the keg at the end of the daisy chain I have a 2 litre pet bottle with the kegland fitting that has two ball lock posts. The spunding valve is fitted to that for insurance against overflow from the last keg.

    Co2 transfer loop

The main difference between the two is the direction the gas travels. On one the gas passes through the gauge before the diaphragm and on the other it passes through the diaphragm before the gauge. So the red one is a spunding valve and the white one is your secondary regulator.

    Co2 transfer loop

I've been using that method for about four years. Actually commented on that YouTube video about three months ago. After purging the keg I pressurize it to slightly above the fermenter pressure. Then I connect the two gas posts first which equalizes the pressure. Then connect the two liquid...

    Water Softeners - any idea?

Next brew day will be a best bitter. After I've treated the water I'll put some in the kettle and make a cup of tea with it. I use loose leaf tea by the way.

    Water Softeners - any idea?

No I haven't ! But now you mentioned it I'll give it at try. Can you recommend a water profile for tea 😉
