Is it safe to stack PET bottles?

Hi,

Probably a daft question; are PET bottles once filled strong enough to stack? I only mean to the extent of putting one cardboard box of filled Coopers PET bottles on top of another one (not stacking multiple cases). I have very limited cool storage space (ie an under stairs cupboard only), so am hoping other people will have done this with no issue - thanks?

well if you look at Aldi or Lidl they stack 2ltr bottles 6 high some in racks (Aldi) or just bound in pack of 6 and directly on top of each other (Lidl) so on that basis i would say they should be.

i store mine in boxes from Asda £4 and i can get 20 off 500ml PET bottles in them and the lids make them stackble

There are some fancy pallet like things, I have seen in Aldi to. You might find some broken and be able to chop it up into smaller bits to fit your space.

Nice work, sadly any scrap wood in place gets made into something for the other half as she runs a nursery, and she keeps telling me how I cost nothing compared to educational equipment suppliers haha
