I started a cider today. Our Apple yield wasn’t great, I only managed to squeeze about 5ltrs of juice so I’ve added a further 12ltrs of apple juice and 3ltrs of apple and mango.
I find that any S&N is a good beer. I’ve not tried Bishops finger for quite a few years but I remember it as a good pint. I think I first tried it at a Beer Festival in Northampton. Way back when people could stand in the same field as one another.....anyway I digress.
Another nice easy drinking...
Yesterday I bottled some Pinot Grigio from the cellar 7 kit. Very clear and tasty. Now I’ll leave (most of) it in the outhouse to mature.
although I’ve just realised I should have posted that in the wine section 🤦♂️
Just bottled my concoction
1 tin of malt extract, 1kg of beer enhancer, 400g of honey and about 25g of hops. I’ve called it dishwater. It tastes beautiful (to me) and I’m hoping it settles nicely.
I’ve returned to the outhouse where I keep my first batch of brewed Supermarket Wine to find that 4 of the 40 odd bottles had blown out the corks. The bottles were laying on their side. The wine inside was still quite fizzy so I’m guessing some secondary fermentation may have been going on as...
Can’t say I’ve noticed any difference in the taste compared to using a spoon. Then again I’ve only had the wine sitting in the bottles for a month but it still tasted ok
