    Banana wine

I normally buy banana's from Tesco when they have reduced them because they have started going soft, I can buy enough for 2/3 gals wine for less than a pound. If I don't have enough time to use them straight away I peel then freeze. I normally use the wine or banana's to add body to wine when needed.

When you made your medlar wine did you use the banana wine as well to give it body? I have usually added raisins to give mine body. I might add it is also my favourite wine. You are right not many medlars about this year

Medlars for cider - to blett or not to blett

I haven't tried adding medlars to anything but if you do I would definitely blett first. If you have enough left over they make the most fantastic wine
